The PCU 8610 compact headend converts satellite signals into DVB-C channels. The headend features a built-in input switching matrix, to which up to four SAT levels are connected, which can be arbitrarily distributed to the eight tuners. The switching matrix facilitates quick and comfortable installation.

The compact headend NTS 16 C/T from POLYTRON converts DVB-S/-S2 signals from 16 satellite transponders into 16 DVB-C or 16 DVB-T channels, as desired.

As POLYTRON’s first hybrid compact headend, it also optionally allows the parallel output of up to 128 IPTV streams. With the NTS 16 C/T, POLYTRON presents its first hybrid compact headend that, in addition to conversion into DVB signals (DVB-C or DVB-T), also enables the optional parallel output of IPTV streams. The headend features an integrated 8-in-16 switch matrix, which allows for quick and convenient installation. Signals from 16 satellite transponders are converted into 16 DVB-C or DVB-T channels.

All output channels are freely selectable and adjacent-channel compatible. Optionally, the signals can also be output as IPTV streams in 16 x MPTS (Multiple Program Transport Streams) or 128 x SPTS (Single Program Transport Streams).

Using the integrated web browser with extended DHCP options (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol), the connection and configuration of the NTS 16 C/T is easier and faster than ever before.

This is due in no small part to the clearly structured and intuitive programming interface. Additional features of the new compact POLYTRON headend include transport stream processing, Network Information Table (NIT) editing, and Logical Channel Numbering (LCN) for program sorting.

The NTS 16 C/T comes factory-ready for installation in a 19-inch rack (2U) or for wall mounting. The use of high-quality components and in-house development and manufacturing "Made in Germany" characterize the POLYTRON compact headends.

Temperature-controlled fans ensure optimal temperature management and longer product life. This allows for the creation of reliable and long-lasting reception systems.

In light of the upcoming SD switch-off, this cost-optimized headend is an excellent replacement for headends not compatible with MPEG-4, as all major German programs are already included in the default settings.
